Michael (Mickey) McNamara is an associate attorney in the firm’s litigation department, focusing his practice on civil trial practice. Mr. McNamara has assisted clients in cases involving personal injury, municipal law, premises liability, products liability, and legal malpractice. His practice also includes real estate transactions, business law, and admiralty law. Mr. McNamara is a thorough and strong advocate for his clients, striving to ensure their objectives are met and a favorable result is obtained.
Mr. McNamara is a native of Savannah, Georgia and graduate of Benedictine Military School. Following high school, he was educated at the University of Georgia and Mercer University School of Law. While at UGA, he received a B.A. in Sociology and tutored student-athletes in upper level Sociology courses at the Rankin M. Smith Student Athlete Academic Center. During law school, Mr. McNamara was a member of the Moot Court team at Savannah Law School, and the Community Relations Chair of the Mercer Trial Lawyers Association. While at Mercer, Mr. McNamara also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Howard Z. Simms (Chief Judge Bibb County Superior Court) and earned Dean’s List honors for his academic performance.
In honor of his Great-Great Uncle Msgr. T. James McNamara, Mr. McNamara is dedicated to the prosperity of the Irish-Catholic community of Savannah where he is known by many as “Mickey”. He is a member of St. James Catholic Church and enjoys coaching youth basketball in his free time.
