Elizabeth (Beth) Brooks
Associate

Beth Brooks is an Associate in the firm’s civil litigation division, focusing primarily on insurance defense.

Prior to joining Ellis Painter, Beth was an associate at a reputable plaintiff’s firm where she represented clients in a variety of matters including complex personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. She previously clerked for the Honorable Hugh Lawson in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia in Macon, Ga.

Beth earned her J.D., cum laude, from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 2017 and was recognized as a Cali Excellence for the Future Award recipient and received the Faculty Award for Legal Writing. In law school, she served as the Senior Managing Editor of the Mercer Law Review and was a Student Editor of the Journal of Southern Legal History. She also earned a B.A., cum laude, in English Literature and Southern Studies from Mercer University.

Beth is admitted to practice in Georgia and South Carolina. She is a member of the Georgia Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association, the Savannah Bar Association, and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. Beth currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Southern Legal History and is a member of the Davenport House Endowment Board.
